Usage of Information and Consent
We collect your information for purposes of booking classes, sending you reminders and notifications, product news and updates, and providing customer service and support as may be necessary.
By registering with ISB system and providing information, you consent to the processing of your information by ISB, its employees, agents or representatives (1) for purposes of providing ISB products and services, (2) for retention in secure database as allowed for legal purposes, (3) to send promotions about ISB products, services and special offers. You confirm that you are aware of your rights under the relevant privacy laws, which include the right to withdraw your consent, to rectify, erase and block your information. You will immediately notify ISB to exercise these rights.
ISB does not share your information to third parties without your consent. We will treat your information in the strictest confidence and will implement security measures to safeguard your information.
Mobile Application
Subject to the Terms and Conditions herein, you are granted a non-exclusive, limited, non-transferable, freely revocable license to use the ISB App. The ISB App is available on both iOS and Android, and the Terms and Conditions herein outlined apply to both.
Our Proprietary Rights
The ISpeakBetter brand, logo, systems, curricula, and all texts, images, information, software, audio, video and all other files in the ISB website and App are the property of ISB (“ISB Property”). ISB Property may be protected by copyright, trademark, patent, and trade secret under the law, and ISB owns and retains all rights in the ISB Property. You may not download, remove, alter, reproduce, modify, adopt, prepare derivative works based on, perform, display, publish, distribute, transmit, broadcast, sell, license or otherwise exploit ISB Property without the consent of ISB or other than expressly permitted in these Terms and Conditions.
Services
ISB provides you with holistic English classes that will help you achieve fluency. We focus on all aspects of English verbal learning - Grammar, Pronunciation, Sentence Construction, and Vocabulary. With this, we adapted the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which is the Universal measure of language mastery.
Sign-up and Log-In
To sign up, users will nominate an email address and password. Nominated email addresses are cross-checked with ISB’s database to avoid any redundancy. Once signed up and you forget your password, the same may be retrieved through the Forgot Password button.
Users may also sign up directly though Facebook or Google +. ISB may collect additional information as may be necessary, subject to the terms indicated under Usage of Information and Your Consent.
Free Demo Class
Each new user is entitled to one (1) free demo class. You may choose your schedule and book your instructor for the demo class. This free demo class may be redeemed at any time.
Subscription and Schedule Selection
Once signed up, you can purchase your desired subscription or package. Package fee is computed based on the following: (1) duration of classes; (2) days per week; and (c) package length. Certain discounts are automatically applied to longer packages. Thereafter, you will be asked to select the days of the week, instructor, and specific time slots for the lessons.
All packages have an expiration date, just like a term or a semester that closes at a university. Any class hours you pay for must be used within a certain period of time.
Promotional Codes
ISB may grant promotional codes from time to time. You will be asked to encode the same in the process of your purchase and the total amount payable will be displayed after the same has been encoded. Note that these promotial codes have expiration dates.
Classes
Subscription period starts one (1) day after the package pruchase has been finalized. As student, you will have access to the Student Panel where you may do the following: (1) cancel a class for the day, (2) suspend classes for a period of time, (3) change your instructor or (4) edit your class schedule. Class cancellations or suspensions made through the Student Panel entitles you to avail of Make-up Classes outlined below.
Classes start on time. Once class has begun, your instructor will wait up to fifteen (15) minutes only before exiting the classroom and declaring you absent. Unannounced student absences are not excused. In case you have an emergency and are unable to cancel or suspend the class in the Student Panel, you may send a message to the Admin through the Internal Messaging System or Chat Support 12 hours after the end of the class. ISB shall exercise its own discretion on whether the absence shall be deemed excused or unexcused.
ISB retains the right to change instructors without prior notification.
Make-up Classes
Class cancellations or suspensions made through the Student Panel are considered excused and shall entitle you to a make-up class. The number of cancellations and suspensions assigned per student shall depend on the package type bought. Make-up classes awarded to emergency absences notification sent through the Internal Messaging System or Chat Support shall be deliberated by the ISB Operations team. Make-up classes will be added to your package, following your defined schedule. Unexcused absences however are not given make-up classes.
Class Recording and Evaluation
ISB would like to give you the best service possible. As such, classes shall be recorded for purposes of quality assurance and for evaluation of the instructors or language coaches. Class recordings will be available within twelve (12) hours after class and will be deleted forty eight (48) hours after upload, after which period, ISB may no longer be able to provide you with the recording, in case requested.
